2013年6月生活紀錄/Life in June 2013

整理好照片後,才發現一半以上的照片都是食物。六月份是放假的日子,做了一些平常學期中沒有時間做的點心食物,好享受在廚房的時光!
After organizing and editing photos, I just realized that more than half of my photos are about food.  June is my summer break.  Made lots of desserts or food that I wouldn't have time to make during semesters.  Really enjoy my time in the kitchen!

馬克最擅長的起司蛋糕!原本在超市我要買低脂奶油起司,馬克說:這是起司蛋糕耶!四盒全脂奶油起司就被丟進購物籃中。
Mark's famous cheesecake!  Originally I was going to buy low-fat cream cheese.  "This is cheesecake!" Mark said.  We ended up bring four boxes of original cream cheese home.
網路上看到手工Oreo巧克力餅乾後,馬克就指定要這道點心,甚至還寫在浴室鏡子上提醒我!過程有點繁瑣,但最終的成品巧克力味好濃郁,好好吃啊!
This was a task that Mark assigned to me.  After seeing photos of homemade oreos online, he kept talking about this.  He even wrote "Homemade Oreo" on the mirror in the bathroom to remind me!  The process was a bit more complicated than other cookies.  However, those homemade oreos were so rich in chocolate and tasty!
芝加哥行讓我們開始接觸使用酵母。第一次自己親手做餐包,其實還挺容易的!
Our Chicago trip got us starting to use yeast.  Making dinner rolls actually is not difficult at all!
因為不小心把門牙弄斷了,只好去看牙醫,也乾脆預約洗牙。美國的洗牙服務做得很仔細,結束後還給一堆有的沒的牙齒相關產品。
An accident broke my front tooth, hence I had my first dentist experience in the US.  I like the teeth cleaning service in the US.  They are really careful.  At the end, they also give you a lot of oral products.
平日的早餐:優格、草莓、藍莓、一杯咖啡和一片吐司。不同的是,這次的吐司是自己做的喲!
This is my daily weekday breakfast: yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, a slice of bread and a cup of coffee.  The only difference today is that I made the bread!


親愛的鄰居送給我她法國情人寄給她的巧克力。
My dear neighbor shared with me the French chocolate that her French lover sent her.

在我住了近一年的公寓辦的第一次Potluck!可能也是唯一的一次,八月份就要搬家了。
First potluck at my apartment where I have lived for almost one year!  But it may be the only potluck here, since I am moving in August.

農夫市集買來的丹麥麵包,配上自己打的藍莓冰沙,就是不同平日,簡單又美味的週日早餐。
Homemade blueberry smoothie with danish from farmers' market.  A simple, easy, yet delicious Sunday breakfast.

  1. 那個平日早餐.......優格、草莓、藍莓、一杯咖啡和一片吐司,跟我在米國吃的一模一樣耶,我才剛到台灣,已經開始懷念。在台灣還沒吃過好吃的優格...

    1. 台灣的優格對我而言太稀太甜了!你在米國是吃什麼樣的優格啊?

    2. 真的!像是在騙小孩吃的東西,一點也不好吃。就是米國超市隨便都買的到,比較大瓶的優格,比奶酪硬一點但比布丁軟一點的口感。挖兩三匙,加一點牛奶、穀片還有水果(各種梅類或香蕉)和在一起吃,一開始是阿狼幫我弄的,超對我的胃口,從此就愛上了。哈哈~
