回到愛荷華後，花了兩天的時間，終於將新公寓整理成自己想要的樣子，終於可以輕鬆地賴在很不舒服的沙發上，上網喝白酒！
與之前住的公寓相比，怎麼看都是降級：以前的公寓有管理員，可以代收包裹；原本的空間比較大，浴室設計非常理想我很喜歡；中央空調含在租金裡，冷氣吹到飽；公寓提供20台左右的洗衣機與烘乾機，隨時都可以洗衣烘衣；以前住在三樓面東，早上在溫暖明亮的陽光包圍中醒來；即使打開窗簾，僅著內衣在家裡閒晃也不怕被別人看見；規劃有訪客停車位朋友來訪也不用擔心沒位置停。
現在的公寓位於一樓面西，窗外就是停車場，不能常常拉開窗簾享受外頭的風光；沒有管理員代收包裹讓我有點擔心訂購的包裹會被拿走；公寓就位在洗衣間旁，可以聽到洗衣烘衣的聲音；洗衣間只提供各一台洗衣機和烘乾機，有時候要等其他房客洗完衣服才能洗；冷氣機開起來很大聲，電費勢必會增加；浴室很醜，尤其是洗手台，完全不知道該如何改善。

總之，幾天下來發現新公寓也有它可愛之處。而且現在房子整理好，有了自己的味道，就更喜歡了。整理好新公寓，也準備好迎接新學年、新學期的開始。
After spending two days working on my new apartment, finally I can relax on my uncomfortable couch and enjoy Internet and white wine!
Comparing to my previous apartment, my new accommodation is definitely downgrading: the previous apartment has on-site management which includes package receiving service; central air conditioner is provided and the cost is included in the rent; there are about 20 washers and dryers so I don't have to wait for other tenants finishing their laundry; my apartment was facing east, hence in the morning I can wake up bathing in the sun; I can open my curtain and enjoy the view all the time since I lived on the top floor; plenty guest parking lots for my visitors.
My new apartment is on the bottom floor. Since the parking lot is right outside my window, I don't want to open the curtain. I also worry that my package will be taken by others since no on-site management. In addition, my apartment is right next to the laundry room and I can hear the noise when the washer and dryer are operating. Since there are only one washer and one dryer, usually I have to wait for other tenants to finish their laundry. No central air conditioner, only wall unit. It makes loud noise and my electricity bill will definitely increase. The bathroom is ugly, especially the sink. I totally have no idea how to improve it.
After living in my new apartment for a few days, however, I realize that it has its own advantages: the rent is cheaper (otherwise I would not move); finally I can receive phone signal in my apartment; location is quite good - I can walk to a small grocery store and it is not too far from two asian grocery stores; several bus lines pass my apartment so I should be more flexible on timet; hearing the sound of the washer and dryer allows me to know when the laundry room is not occupied; the temperature is not that high due to the ground and the tree outside my apartment.
Since now my apartment is turned into the way I like (like Mark said: it will grow on me), with the benefits that I just learned, I like my apartment more and more. Now I am ready for the new semester to begin.
