Day 1: Leave for Mackinaw City from Toledo.
Day 2: Spend the whole day in Mackinac Island.
Day 3: Leave for Munising to visit Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
Day 4: Leave for Petoskey.
Day 5: Leave for Charlevoix and Traverse City.
Day 6: Visit Sleeping Bear Dunes, and then back to Mark's apartment.
Visiting so many different places in such a short period of time is not my style. I always believe that the most luxurious traveling a traveler can do is taking time and enjoying the air, culture, food, and entertainments that a city can offer, without any time pressure. However, it takes so much time, effort, and money for my parents to make to the US. I want to maximize their experience. In Michigan, Mackinac Island is a must. People always recommend it, and Mark and I have always wanted to visit the island. Petoskey, Charlevoix, and Traverse City are famous vacation spots. Since they are close to each other and are on the way back, those cities are naturally included in this trip. Sleeping Bear Dunes are voted the most beautiful place in the US. So it would be nice to visit there. In addition, the sand dunes are quite different from all other places we are going to visit. I was debating if we should go all the way up to Munising to have a boat cruise on Lake Superior. But a) Lake Superior is supposed to be the most beautiful lake among the great lakes, b) it would be nice to take my parents to some national parks in the US, if possible, c)boat cruise is an unique activity in this trip. d) this may be my only chance to go across the Mackinac bridge, and e) it is also a place where both Mark and I haven't been. With some many good reasons, we finally are (or at least I am) convinced to take the extra miles.

這次爸媽來米國除了參加我的婚禮之外，當然還要把握難得的機會在米國玩一下囉！我爸媽喜歡親近自然風光，而密西根剛好沒有大城市卻有許多不同台灣的湖色風光，於是排了六天的密西根之旅。行程如下：
第一天：從Toledo出發前往Mackinaw City。
第二天：在Mackinac Island玩一整天。
第三天：前往Munising，造訪Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore。預計搭船遊湖。
第四天：前往Petoskey。
第五天：前往Charlevoix和Traverse City。
第六天：造訪Sleeping Bear Dunes，然後打道回府。
這趟旅程可是我精心安排許多不同版本最後才定案的呢！其實旅遊時我從不抱持「既然出去玩什麼都必須看到才能回收成本」的想法。對我而言，奢侈的旅遊就是沒有時間壓力隨興隨心的玩，。不過爸媽難得一趟來米國，我當然希望能讓他們能充分享受米國景色。語言不通的他們，我擔心在一個小城市待久了他們會無聊，在旅館他們什麼事也沒辦法做，當然就儘量跑囉。Mackinac Island不用說是一定要去的。已經有許多人向我們推薦，我和馬克也一直很想去。Petoskey, Charlevoix和Traverse City是密西根著名的度假景點，三個城市其實距離不遠，又剛好在回家的路程上，於是很自然地排進行程。Sleeping Bear Dunes是票選米國最漂亮的地方，那邊的沙丘風景和我們造訪的其他城市湖色很不一樣，如果能去當然一定要去囉！至於Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore就讓我掙扎很久，畢竟要特別往北開不是很順路。不過，一、蘇必略湖據說是五大湖中最美的湖。二、如果可以的話能帶我爸媽參觀米國國家公園當然是會好的囉！三、搭船遊湖也將會是這趟旅程中很不一樣難得的活動。四、說不定這是我唯一一次通過Mackinac Bridge的機會耶。五、這將是第一個馬克和我兩人都沒拜訪過的地方。理由這麼充足，當然非去不可囉！
