Monday
As usual, did everything but research. Updated my blog which was supposed to be done last week, did laundry, washed dishes, and listened to a talk about a neuroscientist's research about the brains of serial killers. How I wish that life can be just like this.
Tuesday
In order to increase efficiency, I planned to study in the coffee house. As soon as I arrived, I realized that I left my wallet at home! Since there wouldn't be any progress if I stayed at home, I drove back, got my wallet, and went back to the coffee house again. Even though I spent double time on transportation, at least I got something done.
Wednesday
We went straight toward our favorite Northstar Cafe as soon as we got in Columbus. Their Cloud Nine Pancake and biscuits are not replaceable in our heart. Other foods and drinks are amazingly delicious as well. We totally have no problem having three meals a day at Northstar. After lunch, we went to Stauf's, where we used to study, to work and to get flavored coffee beans Love Portion #9. Next stop is Jeni's Ice Cream. It seemed like the favors were totally different from before. We tried some new flavors, and Mark was really satisfied with Brambleberry Crip. Had a short gathering with friends at Cheesecake Factory, we headed Makr's sister's house, where we will stay for two night. Per hosts' request, I cooked Taiwanese dinner. I made three cup chicken, onion and beef in black pepper sauce, and pan-fried green beans. Of course, chopsticks are a necessity when having Taiwanese food.
Thursday
Turkey day! Mark was busy making Hershy's cookies. I was instructed to stay at the room working on my research. Mark's parents arrived after lunch. In the afternoon we did nothing but chatted, played card games, played with Matthew and Charlie. At 4 o'clock the turkey was done and started the thanksgiving feast!
Friday
Due to lots of work and I had to drive back to Iowa, We left for Michigan today. Before leaving Columbus, we first visited another beloved restaurant, Tasi, to have breakfast. Their french toast is my favorite in the world. Then we visited another store Tiger Tree. They usually have unique and interesting products. We stopped at Ann Arbor on the way back. Cafe Zola is our must visit restaurant in Ann Arbor. It is very popular, and sometimes you have to wait for 40 minutes to get a seat. We chose to have lunch at their new restaurant Zola Bistro. Basically these two restaurants serve the same menu. Zola Bistro is more spacious, but we preferred the atmosphere at Cafe Zola. After lunch, we visited Trader Joe's and ended our thanksgiving break.
